--> WINGATE 2000
--> Wang Products
-----------------

When I used to find Wingates, I always logged them in a
text file for later use. However, it soon became clear
these Wingates did not stay up for very long! This left
me with a list of Wingates of which only a few still
worked. The only option I had was to try to connect to
each wingate individually to see if it was still up.
As you can imagine - this took quite a while!

WinGate 2000 solves this problem by automating the task.
You can simply give it a list of wingates, and it will
find all the ones that are still up and tell which ones
have been taken down. At this point you can even choose
to have your Wingate list updated - leaving you with
a fully functional list of Wingates!

This is the only program of its type available at this
time! - and trust me, it works.

How to use:

First of all, you need a list of Wingates. When you have
found some, record them in a file like this:

(hostname or IP):(Port)

so an example file with four entries would be:

happy.wingate.net:23
force.darkside.ny:23
cake.com:1000
193.345.53.288:23

An example list is included with the program (List.txt).
** Make sure there are no EMPTY LINES inbetween the
wingates or any EMPTY LINES at the top or bottom of the
text file!! ***

Load your list into Wingate 2000, and then choose
'Search'.

Once all the Wingates have been scanned a sort of status
will be shown and a couple of new options will be shown.
'Update list' will update your Wingate list (ie. take
out any void ones) and 'Finish' will just start a fresh
without updating your list.
